imeetswe offers both fee-for-service community environments and free public events. in order to provide these services for free or at low cost, much of the work that goes into planning and building infrastructure is provided on a volunteer basis. there are a number of ways that your participation can help make everything run smoothly.
join the board
consider adding your voice and expertise to our board for a one-year renewable term. serving on a board is a great experience in community service, and looks great on a resume.
we are committed to being a neurodiverse team, and neurodiversity-affirming communication is at the heart of our mission.
imeetswe is in the early stages of a $5 million capital campaign to establish a permanent home in South Berkeley. We are building the infrastructure to run it well—and we need people who have been here before. We are recruiting experienced volunteers to join the board in a governance and leadership capacity. If you have worked at this scale and believe that community music belongs in the same conversation as libraries, parks, and health clinics, we’d like to talk.
volunteer
there are a number of ways you can support our mission: flyering, community outreach, helping out at events, or donating your skills.
paid opportunities
there are some skilled tasks that we are willing to pay for, as we are able, such as web design (wordpress), social media, and email communications (mailchilmp/wordpress). reach out if you interested in contributing your skills to the cause.

imeetswe is in a unique position to serve neurodiverse youth and their families in a strengths-based capacity. especially if you are a person for whom neurodiversity is part of your identity, and music is your special interest, your perspective and life skills might find a place to thrive in these environments. reach out if you are interested in learning more.
